Too often a person with Fibromyalgia faces questions, discussions or looks of shock, doubt and disbelief from people they know well and love.  They  often vocalise their thoughts like  "you don't look sick",  "it's not that bad, you are just exaggerating your pain" or "yeah, isn't it convenient that you cannot do these chores anymore".
Stigma, stereotypes and misconceptions still exist TODAY among loved ones, friends, co-workers, service providers and even one's own family physician or medical specialists.   They simply DO NOT FULLY UNDERSTAND or comprehend the complexity or range of levels of intensity one experiences when living with this life-altering disease.
We invite you to share these images or the Powerpoint slide presentation with those who cast doubt on your diagnosis.  Help us raise awareness by educating people within your own circle, family and workplace.  It is a start to making a difference in your new altered life!
