This study is part of a line of research which aims to inform&nbsp;the development of clinical interventions that help recognize and alleviate suffering among people living with pain.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">They\u00a0would greatly\u00a0appreciate it\u00a0if you would consider\u00a0taking part\u00a0in their study.\u00a0To\u00a0participate, you\u00a0must: be 18 years of age or older, be living with persistent pain (pain lasting over 3 months), be fluent in English (reading, verbal, expression, and comprehension), and able to\u00a0participate\u00a0in online audio-visual calls (Zoom).\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">They are looking for people who fulfill one or more of the following criteria, as they seek to involve people living with pain with diverse experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul style=\"font-size:18px\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Men&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>People who speak a language other than English as their mother tongue (who are fluent in English)&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>People of&nbsp;colour&nbsp;(diverse ethnicities, including Asian, Black, Latinx, Middle Eastern, Pacific Island, and South Asian)&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Indigenous people (including First Nations, M\u00e9tis, and Inuit people)&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>People living in rural areas&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Young adults [18 \u2013 35 years old]&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>People with a special interest in chronic pain&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">If you are interested in&nbsp;participating&nbsp;in their study, they invite you to complete the consent form and sociodemographic survey for interested participants,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/surveys.mcgill.ca\/ls3\/376932?lang=en French survey link:&nbsp;https:\/\/surveys.mcgill.ca\/ls3\/376932?lang=fr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">linked here<\/a>.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">If you have any questions, please don\u2019t hesitate to contact <a href=\"mailto:emilie.houston@mcgill.ca?subject=McGill Delphi Study\">Emilie Houston<\/a>.<br>\u00a0<br>English survey link:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/surveys.mcgill.ca\/ls3\/376932?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/surveys.mcgill.ca\/ls3\/376932?lang=en<\/a><br>French survey link:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/surveys.mcgill.ca\/ls3\/376932?lang=fr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/surveys.mcgill.ca\/ls3\/376932?lang=fr<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-latest-posts__list wp-block-latest-posts\"><\/ul>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>McGill is seeking participants for a research study that aims to co-create the first comprehensive definition of pain-related suffering shaped directly by people living with pain.
