AGM 2025 Fibromyalgia Association Canada

May 26th meeting at 2:30pm to 4pm EST

The AGM of Fibromyalgia Association Canada was held Monday, May 26th, with Trudy Flynn, the chair, presiding. The meeting began with a land acknowledgment and a report on the organization’s progress over the past year, highlighting efforts to raise awareness, support the community, and improve understanding of fibromyalgia. Trudy presented the financial report, and presented motions to accept the financial report and amended FAC bylaws.  Both these motions were approved.

Trudy provided an overview of the five committees within the Fibromyalgia Association of Canada: Awareness, Research, Education, Advocacy, and Finance. She detailed the goals, accomplishments, and activities of each committee, highlighting their efforts in raising awareness, conducting research, providing education, advocating for patients, and managing finances. Trudy also mentioned the organization’s increased membership, social media presence, and partnerships with other organizations. She expressed gratitude for the support and contributions of members and encouraged continued collaboration to advance the cause of people with fibromyalgia across Canada.
