Advocacy – Get Involved

Fibromyalgia Association Canada (FAC) advocates for increased awareness, research, education, funding, and improved benefits to enhance the lives of Canadians with fibromyalgia. Get involved by participating in FAC's advocacy campaigns, often as simple as contacting your local representative, and help amplify the fibromyalgia voice for change.

Advocacy – Get Involved

Fibromyalgia Association Canada (FAC)'s Mission Statement is "To build ONE unified national voice to:

  • advocate for fibromyalgia for increased awareness, research, education and funding;
  • improve government disability and extended health benefits; and
  • raise the quality of life of Canadian with fibromyalgia."

Though FAC is committed to being a national association for all Canadians, we need your support by getting involved in our advocacy campaigns.

Here is how you can also get involved - with little to no effort on your part:

Some campaign require contacting your elected Member of Parliament (MP), Members of Provincial Parliament (MPP), Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLA), Members of the National Assembly (MNA in Quebec) or Member of the House of Assembly (MHA in Newfoundland and Labrador) as they often will only address concerns from their own constituents. Sometimes we also have to contact Senators. You can easily do so by email, writing or just a quick phone call.
